Tue, 11/3/09 (1335-1400 utc) ~ 6.050 mHz ~ Radio Malaysia, Kajang ~ Domestic service: Songs announced in Malay language with commentary. Generally pleasant listening with good signal strength battered somewhat by slopover signal from adjacent channel. Kaito as above.

Tue, 11/3/09 (1402-16 utc) ~ 6.195 mHz ~ BBC, UK, via Singapore ~ World Service in English: News followed by feature program on the emergency landing of an American airliner in the Hudson River in January ‘09. Good to very good reception on Kaito as above.

The following stations are currently active and have been heard at the listening post in Southern California, USA. The numbers in brackets indicate UTC hours of transmission and/or reception. (0 is equal to 5 pm PDT and 8 pm EDT.) Receivers in use (in order of effectiveness) include a Kaito KA-2100 connected to a 40-foot straight wire rooftop antenna, a Realistic DX-160 connected to a slinky antenna mounted vertically outdoors at ground level, and a Realistic DX-100 with a slinky mounted indoors. There are many more stations being heard, but the ones listed are among the more interesting. They broadcast in various languages, some in English.
